![]() ![]() Thanks to PoorlyShavedApe, following his link pointed me to the right solution. Double-click the app icon to open and use the Winmail DAT File Viewer. I created a mail contact for his e-mail adress and I put "use MAPI rich text format" to never. dat TNEF-encoded Outlook files on iPhone and iPad app under the Apps menu of BlueStacks. PLEAAAASE Give me your external opinion on the problem before I go crazy!!!Įdit: Ok, if anybody is interested, here's how I fixed it. That tells me the problem happens before receiving it is received on the iPhone/iPad but it still dosen't explain why the problem just started happening and why is it just attachments from us. A winmail.dat file is an email from Microsoft Outlook that can not be read by other. I tried to log in the internet provider's "webmail interface" and the attachments from us are called winmail.dat. Category: Productivity Release date: Licence: Free. Would it be a change on our exchange server? Didn't do any lately except the exchange update on tuesday but the problem started before that. So far, I already reconfigured his e-mail adress on both devices and it didn't fix the problem.Ĭould it be because his e-mail adress is it's internet provider's free e-mail adress? But that would'nt explain why it stopped working just a week ago.Ĭould it be because he updated to 1.6? The problem is i'm at 1.6 too and it works. ![]() Where it gets weirder, is that i'm sending my e-mail with Mac Mail witch obviously would use a compatibly format for iphone/ipad. For example, sending the same e-mail to my gmail account that is set up on my iPhone and to his e-mail adress, he won't be able to open the attachment and I'm able. The weird thing is that I have this problem only with him on both his iPhone and iPad. You can use it for free in mailbox conversion mode (with switch -p). The ipad supposedly cannot read that format. Winmail.dat Opener is a free app to open those common winmail.dat attachments. replace winmail.dat by the real attached files. I did some research and everyone seem to say that it's when an e-mail is sent from Outlook as RTF. This is happening on a client's iPad and iPhone, when receiving mail attachment from anyone in the company, it's always called winmail.dat and he can't open it. ![]() I'm starting to go nuts with this problem. ![]()
